Wendy Joyce Spencer

February 20, 1949 — October 15, 2021

Wendy Joyce Spencer of Show Low, Arizona peacefully passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at her home in Show Low. She was 72. Wendy was born, Wendy Joyce Howell, on Sunday February 20, 1949 in Alhambra, California to her parents, Jack Howell and Mildred “Midge” Howell Raymer and was named after Peter Pan’s lady in the Ice Capades production of Peter Pan.

As a young girl the family lived in West Covina, New Port Beach, California where she attended Roland Elementary, Hunting JR High and graduated from the Corona del Mar High School class of 1967. Throughout school she was active in the Choir and Sailing Club as well as the senior class president of the Pep Club. As a teenager she loved summer and enjoyed spending as much time on the beach as possible.

On May 23, 1969 she met and married James Lee Serrano and in 1976 they divorced. Together they had 2 children, Michael and Kristi. Wendy was a devout Christian who loved the Lord. Her family was very important to her and she cherished the many memories they shared together. On February 10, 2001 she married Greg Spencer and together they made their home in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona.

Her many hobbies included collecting dolls and going camping with her family. Our family finds comfort in knowing that we will one day see her again and she is at peace with her Lord and Savior in Heaven.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Greg Spencer; children, Michael (Tasha) Serrano and Kristi Serrano; grandchildren, Julie, Tyler, Nicole, Luke and Amy; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Michael as well as a sister, Debbie Hartle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Midge.

Private family services will be held.
