Wanda Lee Petersen

d. March 25, 2021

Wanda Petersen passed away peacefully on March 25, 2021.  She was born on November 06 (NOYB) in Lerpanto, Arkansas.  The oldest daughter of T.E. "Buddy" and Ruth Rhineheart.  She grew up in Heber, Arizona with her two younger brothers, James and Miller Rhineheart.  While attending Snowflake High School, she met her future husband Lawrence J. Petersen.  Together they raised 5 daughters in Lakeside, Arizona and would later welcome her amazing sons (sons-in-law) into her life with open arms.

Wanda was a nurse, teachers aide to kids with special needs, but her most important job was being Nana to 17 grandkids and 7 great-grandkids.

Known for her talent of making those around her laugh she will be missed by everyone who knew her.  She loved music, dancing, coloring, going to the casino with her grandsons, eating Mexican food, her rings and Kevin Costner.

Wanda's family would like to thank the amazing ladies at Summit IV Therapy, Accord Hospice, Dr. Smithson and staff for their extraordinary care and love for her.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Randy) Hall, Kami (Kraig) Nikolaus-Klaus, Dana (Rick) Gardner, Amy (Jeremy) Hathcock, and Kristin (Keith) Crowther and all of her wonderful grandchildren.

The Celebration of Life for our sweet mom has not been set up yet.  Please email Dana at [email protected] and she will send information when services have been scheduled.
