In Loving Memory
It is with profound sadness that the Pedersen family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Veta in the early morning of May 4th. Veta Jean Pedersen was born April 3rd, 1972 in Show Low, Arizona. Veta grew up in Wagon Wheel on her grandparent’s property and as an adult she took pride as a property manager. Veta spent her life befriending the entire mountain and touching the lives of all those she met. Veta and her son Cody met the love of Veta’s life, Larry Pedersen in 1993. They were married in 1998. Together they had a son Logan Pedersen whom completed their beautiful family. They made many memories that will withstand the test of time. Riding horses, gardening, caring for her animals, and being with family is all that mattered to Veta. Love and horses is what made her world keep spinning. Veta lived life to the fullest when she was on her horse exploring the forest. She started horse-back riding when she was 5 years old and owned her first horse at age 12. Her ponies and her fellow riders were her joy. Veta was utterly beautiful, her smile lit up every room she entered and her laugh raised anyone’s mood through the roof.
Veta Jean Pedersen is proceeded in death by mother Renee Challis Cook, Grandmother LaVeta Challis, and her Grandfather “Peck” Challis. She is survived by her husband of 24 Years Larry Pedersen, brother Jay Cook & wife Jill (and kids), son Cody & wife Holly and children Noah and Chloe. Son Logan, Autumn, Faith, Allie, and James. And no one can forget her horses Angel, Ruby, and Winddancer whom she loved dearly. The impact Veta had on all the lives around her will never be forgotten. Her warm smile, laugh, and character will be so greatly missed.
Until we meet again Veta
