Velas Quade

Velas Quade of East Fork, Arizona passed away on March 8, 2023 at his home in East Fork. He was 74. Velas was born on July 30, 1948 in Miami, Arizona to his parents, Wallace and Nina (Slick) Quade. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served from 1971-1974 before receiving his honorable discharge. Velas was a spiritual man who loved to spread God’s word. He liked to sing gospel songs and ministered through his music to people throughout the State of Arizona and the reservations. He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie; children: Thema Quade, Valita (Michael Sr.) James, Vaneysa (Randy Enos) Johnson and Nona (Andrew) Ahyosgi; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; uncle, Wanger Slick; brother, Matthew Bullis and sister, Doranda Torras. A one night wake will begin 10:00 A.M. Thursday March 16, 2023 at the Quade residence in East Fork. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 17, 2023 at the Fire on the Mountain Church with the burial to follow in the Mission View Cemetery in East Fork.
