Twila Hall

March 5, 1954 — November 7, 2023

Twila Goodman Hall Pearce,69, passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of November 7 with her husband, Jeff Pearce, by her side. She had fought a battle against cancer for years. She was born March 5, 1954 in St. Johns to Alvin Ezra Goodman and Bertha Rothlisberger Goodman.

She was raised in Show Low and graduated from Snowflake in 1972. She was blessed with a love of nature; going into the mountains and taking wood cutting trips were some of her favorite things to do. Her dad and mom were excellent gardeners and she learned well from them.

She had a love of music also. She loved to play the piano, and often was chosen to play for many church meetings. She would often sing along with the hymns as she played. She had a beautiful singing voice and after graduation she went to Ricks College and joined their traveling singing group the New Freedom Singers. She then moved back home to Arizona where she met Wallace L Wendel and they married in 1975. Wallace was in the Air Force and they moved fifteen times in the next 10 years. During that time their 3 children were born. They divorced in 1987 and Twila moved to Flagstaff to work on a degree from Northern Arizona University (NAU). She met Brian Christopher Hall shortly after and they wed in 1988. To this union she added 5 stepchildren to her family. Together she and Chris raised this family and had many happy times together.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Don and Wayne; sisters, Alvena and Lana; son, Joseph Cory Hall; and husband, Brian Christopher Hall.

She is survived by husband, Jeff Pearce; children, Kelli Gascon(Vince), Lacy Elson (Mike), Heber Hall, Wid Hall, Michael Hall (Zenica) Jamie Meidl (Scott), Danni Jackson (Josh); 16 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson.
