Sharon Ann Bell

March 29, 1945 — May 1, 2026

Sharon A. Bell, 81, passed away peacefully at rest in her home bed on May 1, 2026, in Heber. She was born on March 29, 1945, to Clifford and Elizabeth Elkins in Lapel, arriving into the world in a car while en route to the hospital.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Everett E. Bell, 84, of Heber, Arizona; her children, Shela S. Jackson of Fort Myers, Mesha G. McCarty of Pendleton, Peg Smith of Pendleton, Indiana, Melinda K. Juhl of Redlands, Dale H. Juhl of Redlands, California, Nancy L. Bell of Northglenn, and Mike Cordova of Northglenn, Colorado. She is also survived by her sisters, Francis Drake of Louisville, Betty Wiley of Rushville, Donna Losh of Sheridan, Rex and Ginger Bell of Brighton, and O.M. and Joni Bell of Chattanooga.

She leaves behind grandchildren Stephanie E. Jackson of Fort Myers, Florida; Sterling E. Jackson of Atlanta; Mark E. Williams and Jen Williams of Bend; Kara E. Wirz and Michael Wirz of Angelus Oaks, California; and Emily S. Williams-Schoenberger of Seattle. Sharon was also blessed with 12 great-grandchildren, ranging in age from 1 to 12 years old, as well as 23 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Elkins; her grandson, Brian Williams; and her niece, Paige McClure.

Sharon loved her two homes dearly. While Heber was known for its snow and cold winters, Fountain Hills offered the warm and temperate climate she preferred. To many in Phoenix, she was considered a "snow bird," as snow was truly a four-letter word to her. In Heber, she found peace in the quiet serenity of the back country, especially among the wild horses she loved so much.

Sharon also had a deep love for travel. Train rides brought her joy and meaningful time spent with loved ones. Her favorite destination outside of home was Paris, followed closely by Hawaii, Australia, and South Africa. At home, she enjoyed sewing and creating crafts from old jewelry and odds and ends. She was especially loved by her great-grandchildren for her thoughtful and generous gifts, often treasures she found while thrift shopping-one of her favorite pastimes.

Sharon leaves behind many dear friends, cherished family members, and a devoted husband who will miss her eternally.

In lieu of gifts or flowers, now or in the future, Sharon strongly believed in the value of education and requested that donations be made to the educational organization or entity of your choice in her memory.
