Lend me your ears my brother, my sister.
Let me tell you about a grandpa, an uncle, a brother, a friend, and a True Man of God, Scott
Tenijieth.
He has gone on to be with the Lord, but has left a trail here on earth that can never be
forgotten.
His accomplishments are many, of which I'll list a few.
He was a distance runner who never quit a race,
He was an educated man, receiving his post-secondary education from Ganado College,
He was a logger who could fell timber with the best of them,
A fisherman, a hunter, an outdoorsman,
A carpenter, a security guard, and a weight scale operator.
He even guarded the home of the famous Alice Cooper, for a spell.
He was the husband to one wife, even for the years after she went to be with the Lord,
A testimony of his marriage vows and love for his wife.
He was an Apache dictionary to whom we went often to learn a new word, and we always
walked away knowing a new word.
He was a historian and could tell you of many historical events on the reservation.
He was a humble man who only spoke with pride when he was praising others.
He was a wise man who lived his life peacefully.
A true man of God who praised God until the day he went home.
Until we meet again our friend, Scott Tenijieth.
