Robert Kenny "Bobby" Armijo

July 21, 1952 - August 8, 2026

Robert Kenny Armijo, lovingly known as "Bobby," was born on July 21, 1952, in McNary, Arizona, to Juan and Teresita "Teddy" Armijo. He grew up in Show Low alongside his siblings, Beatrice Graham, Andy Armijo, Gloria Vasquez, and George Armijo.

Bobby graduated from Snowflake High School, where he was a four-letter athlete, competing in baseball, football, basketball, and track. His talent and love for baseball earned him a full athletic scholarship to Grand Canyon University, where he played as a pitcher-an accomplishment he remained incredibly proud of throughout his life.

Bobby shared 33 years of marriage with his wife, Trecia Armijo. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised their three children: Jack Armijo and his wife, Stef; Tanya Haggard and her husband, Steve; and Tony Armijo and his wife, Tara. One of Bobby's greatest joys was being "Papa" to his 13 grandchildren: Drew, Emmerson, Sam, Trevor, Camden, Isabella, Olivia, Delilah, Necie, Ivy, Thalia, RJ, and Neviah. And 4 great grandchildren : Ren, Soryn, Stellan and Clayton.

Bobby dedicated 33 years to the Snowflake Paper Mill, working his way from the basement to shift supervisor before retiring. Retirement gave him the opportunity to return to one of his greatest passions-sports-through umpiring and officiating.

Sports remained a huge part of Bobby's life. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, and University of Arizona basketball-and anyone who knew Bobby knew it was never the Broncos. He also loved playing horseshoes, bowling, dancing, listening to his collection of cassette tapes, dressing sharp, and making sure his hair was always just right.

Above all else, Bobby loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend who could always be counted on to show up for the people he loved. His humor, unmistakable personality, and comforting presence brought laughter and happiness wherever he went, even through his final days.

Bobby leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will forever carry his love with them. He will be remembered for the way he loved, the laughter he brought, his passion for the game, and the countless lives made better simply because he was there.

A life well lived, a game well played, and a legacy that will never be forgotten.
