Ricky Dean Ivins, 65, of Cibecue, Arizona, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona.
Born on February 7, 1960, in Cibecue, Arizona, Ricky was the beloved son of George Ivins and Irene (Alvin) Murphy. He was one of eleven siblings, growing up with three brothers and seven sisters, surrounded by a large and loving family.
Ricky attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and later worked as a skilled carpenter for the White Mountain Apache Tribe Housing Authority. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication, craftsmanship, and willingness to share his knowledge with others.
A man of many passions, Ricky loved fishing, playing football, running cross country, and taking long joyrides through the mountains. He will be remembered most for his hard work, kind heart, and his role as an "awesome" daddy and papa. His gentle nature, helping hands, and love for teaching his trades to others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Ricky is survived by his children: Richanda Ivins, Nadean (Ronnie) Ivins-Wilson, Alyssa Ivins, Francise Ivins, and Rikanda Ivins, as well as 13 cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his remaining siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents George Ivins and Irene (Alvin) Murphy, stepfather Alvin Murphy; daughters Renea Ivins and twin baby girls; brothers Marvin Ivins, Kasey Ivins, and Robert Ivins; and sisters Alvita Murphy, Rolletta Cromwell, and Delta Murphy.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at 410 N. Cromwell, Cibecue, AZ. Funeral services will follow the next day on Saturday, August 2, at 1:00 P.M with burial at Upper Cibecue Family Plot in Cibecue.
Ricky's presence, laughter, and generous spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
