Rick A. Lutz

1953-2026

Rick A. Lutz, 73, passed away on September 14, 2026. He was born in Lansing, Michigan, and moved to Wickenburg, Arizona, as a teenager, where he attended and graduated from Wickenburg High School.

After high school, Rick began his career at Motorola, where he worked for many years before venturing out on his own. Throughout his life, Rick was involved in several businesses and partnerships. In the White Mountains, he was a partner in Last Chance Properties and The Lions Den, and owned K&L Ceramic and The Cabinet Shop before retiring.

Outside of work, Rick had many hobbies and interests that brought him enjoyment. He loved gardening and took pride in growing his own fruits and vegetables. He also enjoyed gunsmithing and target shooting, spending time working with his hands and pursuing something he was passionate about.

And then there were Sundays. Rick looked forward to Sunday football and spending time with his two good friends, Mark and Mike-the "Three Amigos." Those Sundays, filled with football, friendship, and memories, were a special part of his life.

Rick will be remembered for his independent spirit, his many interests and talents, and the friendships and memories he created throughout his life.

He is survived by Paulette Lipps; his daughter, Erica Rowe; his son-in-law, James Cranfield; and his two grandchildren, Gage and Alyssa Rowe.

Rick's family will be honoring his life with a Celebration of Life at The Lions Den on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Family and friends are invited to stop by during those hours to share memories, celebrate Rick's life, and remember the man he was to all who knew him.
