Richard Paul Windau, 76, of Show Low, AZ has made his journey home into our lord's peaceful embrace on December 13, 2025. He was born in Sandusky Ohio on March 12, 1949, to parents, Richard F and Mary Windau.
Richard moved with his parents and younger brother, Roger, to Phoenix, Arizona in 1955. After moving to Phoenix his younger sister, Lisa, was born. He went to Central High School in Phoenix. During high school he took pride in running track and set many records. After graduating 1967 he served in the United States Navy then moved to the White Mountains in 1972, where he resided for the remainder of his life.
During his time in the White Mountains Richard was local member of the area. He participated in community many events and worked as a printer, junk man, truck driver, grounds keeper, arborist and talented wood worker.
Anyone who knew Richard knew that he was the most caring, understanding and forgiving person anyone could know. He was always a great son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Richard was predeceased by his father, Richard F, and his brother, Roger. He is survived by his mother, Mary, sister, Lisa, and sons, Cody and Tyler.
A memorial service to celebrate Richard Windau's life will be held at 2:00pm on January 9th at Owens Livingston Mortuary in Show Low, Arizona. Friends and family are invited to join in remembrance of Richards great life.
