Peter "Pete" Lars Stock

With broken hearts the Stock family announces that Peter “Pete” Lars Stock passed away suddenly on Wednesday May 18^th, 2022 in his home in Show Low, Arizona. He was a lifelong resident of the Show Low area. He loved the mountain and the people here. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His funeral services will be Saturday June 4^th, 2022 at 11:00 with a viewing at 10:00 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints Stake Center at 1401 W Deuce of Clubs Show Low, Arizona. There will also be a viewing on Friday June 3^rd, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel located at 320 N 9^th Street in Show Low. 

Peter “Pete” Lars Stock (54) was born to Frank (deceased) and Saundra Stock on April 3^rd 1968 in Show Low Arizona. He is survived by his sister Tiffany Peterson, brother Paul Stock, sister Susie Stock, and sister Nanette (Ryan) Hall and 9 nieces and nephews. Pete’s children are Victoria (Bryce) Kirkpatrick, Elizabeth (James) Morin, Levi (Sabrina) Stock, Mary (Kody) Glover, Kathryn (Dannon) Baird, Cora Stock, and Tabitha Stock. He has been blessed with three wonderful grandsons and two amazing granddaughters so far.

Pete graduated from Show Low High School and then served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints starting in New Zealand and finishing in Kentucky.  He was a rancher his whole life and a self-employed arborist in Show Low for many years. Pete loved hunting and fishing, spending time with his children, family, and friends. Most people knew him for his hard work ethic, contagious smile and laugh, amazing story-telling abilities, and service to others.

Pete was fiercely passionate about his heritage and living on the land of his ancestors and raising and working cattle. He was an avid reader, had an extensive vocabulary, and was both poetic and artistic in his story telling. He could captivate all those around him by sharing his life experiences or possibly an embellished story or two. He has a deep love and a close relationship with his Savior, Jesus Christ and his Heavenly Father.  Pete will be greatly missed by the many people who loved him.
