Pete Baca Tafoya

Pete B. Tafoya, 86, passed away on March 8, 2026. He was born on August 13, 1989, in Holbrook, Arizona.

Pete is survived by his beloved wife, Katy; his children Michelle (Brian), Pete (Cindy), Danny (Michelle), and Marcos; as well as 32 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Fide Tafoya, and sister, Annie Gabaldon.

Pete worked for the Department of Transportation in maintenance, where he spent many years snow plowing and working on the paint crew. After retiring early, he went on to manage Hidden Cove Golf Course and later became a local business owner of Tafoya's East End Liquor.

Pete had a deep passion for hunting with his brothers, all their sons and family, and golfing whenever he had the chance.

Known for his humor, Pete always seemed to have a joke ready and loved teasing people-even those he had just met. His playful spirit and warm personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Pete was loved by many friends and cherished by all of his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 at Owens Livingston Mortuary ~ Holbrook Chapel, 409 N. 1st Ave., Holbrook, Arizona.
