Patricia Joan Palensar

June 30, 1937 — February 3, 2022

 

Patricia (Tish) Joan Seighman (Palensar) was born June 30, 1937 in Monongahela, PA to Herbert and Martha Seighman.  Patricia’s family owned a dairy farm, which she grew up on, along with 10 siblings.  Patricia attended the schools in Monongahela, PA and graduated from Ringgold High School in 1955.

Patricia was married to Harry Edward Noel Sr. and together they had four children, Dana, Denise, Ed and Eric.

Patricia later in life married Emil John Palensar Sr. and together they had two children, Emil Jr. and Amy.

Patricia held many different jobs over her lifetime, took and delivered milk from the farm, cleaning homes, schools, the county courthouse, and always was selling Avon or Fullerbrush on the side, she even helped run a pizza shop.

Patricia was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ, her favorite hobby which was a ministry was sewing and quilting blankets and always ready to lend her quilting needle for a layette or gift. She taught many sewing classes on the Whiteriver Apache Reservation, and would carry her sewing machines and supplies over Diamond Creek for her classes . Over the years, she sewed hundreds of doll blankets, which were used in church fundraisers and also sent overseas in Christmas boxes for needy children.  Patricia also was a foster parent and fostered many children from the White Mountain Apache Reservation.

Patricia Palensar passed away peacefully at 2 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022. God saw fit to take her home on her spiritual birthday.

Patricia is survived by her three siblings; Phillip of PA, George of VA. and Judy of FL.

Children; Dana Mead (Patton) Denise DelGrand, Sarah Collins-Noel, Eric Noel, Emil Palensar Jr. (Kathy), Amy King (Josh).

Grandchildren; Charles, April, Matthew, Jeremy, Dustin, Robby, Dylan, Garrett, Logan, Emileigh, Nicoli, Kinslee and Parker.

Along with 21 great grandchildren.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert, and Martha; siblings, Jane, Liz, Clyde, Herbert, Shirley, Thressa, son Ed, grandson Kyle.

The viewing will take place on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, starting at 5 p.m. for family members and 6 p.m. for the community and will conclude at 7 p.m. for all.

Location: Owen Livingston Mortuary, 320 North 9th St., Show Low, AZ 85901

The funeral will be held at Owen Livingston Mortuary on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at 1 p.m. The burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at the city cemetery in St John's located at 405 West 4th North, St. John’s, AZ 85936. Everyone is welcome.

In lieu of flowers, Patricia requested that funds be donated on her behalf to the Lakeside Branch building fund.
