Nancy Jean Tuey

Nancy Jean Tuey died Monday, January 24, 2022, at her home in Lakeside, Arizona. She was 70 years old. Nancy was born on a Thursday, April 12, 1951, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri to her parents, the late Leo Edward and Geneva (McGinnis) Jefferson.

Nancy graduated from high school in Evergreen, Colorado. She married her forever sweetheart, David Leon Tuey in West Virginia. In 1979, the newlyweds headed west and settled in San Manuel, Arizona. Sadly, David passed away in 1998. In 2014, Nancy moved to Lakeside, where she has since made her home.

Nancy retired, after 24 years of service, as a reservation agent from American Airlines. Throughout her life, Nancy's number one priority was always her family. She loved her children dearly and when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were born, her love was only magnified. They were her life and the love they all have for her is evidence of that. She enjoyed the simple things that life offered. She always thought a good day shopping or a lucky day at the casino were great ways to spend her time!  

Nancy is survived by her children: Amanda L. (Bryan) Dudelston of Lakeside, Arizona, David E. (Andrea) Tuey of Edmond, Oklahoma; brother, Larry Jefferson of Drexel, Missouri; sister, Susan VanMeter of Drexel, Missouri; 7 grandchildren: Kaitlyn Lummus, Konner Lummus, Alexandra (Christopher) Quinones, Jordan Tuey, Jackson Tuey, Kierya Dudelston, Makenna Tuey; 4 great-grandchildren: Chase Storms, Riley Storms, Grayson Storms, BrookLynn Quinones and 2 more great-grandchildren on the way.

The memorial service will begin 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 28, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Pinetop, 1901 E. White Mountain Boulevard in Pinetop, Arizona where services will be officiated by Pastor Curtis Fahrlender and Associate-Pastor Kent Tisdale.
