Michael Charles Narramore, 78, peacefully passed away on June 10, 2026, at his home in Show Low, Ariz.
Michael was born on August 17, 1947, in Phoenix to Helen Keck Narramore (1922-2007) and Charles Abner Narramore (1922-2002). He graduated from high school in Yuma, Ariz., attended Northern Arizona University and later graduated from Glendale Community College with an associate of arts degree in management.
Michael proudly served as a member of the United States Marine Corps (1966-1968), serving in Vietnam and as a reservist until 1972. Following his time in the military, Michael was an electrician for the Arizona Highway Department (1968-1973). Then, in the footsteps of his father, Michael spent the remainder of his career as an engineer for the telephone company in Phoenix and Northern Arizona (1973-2001).
Michael was kind, humble, honest, helpful and generous to all who knew him. He always remained true to himself and met the world as he was. Michael enjoyed beach vacations, fishing, camping, golfing, Sunday check-ins with family, weekly "breakfast with the guys" and his work with the Bison Crossing Owner's Association.
Michael is survived by his son, Ryan Narramore, of Phoenix; his brother, Gary Narramore, of San Francisco; his sister, Linda Narramore Katz, and her family, of Del Mar, Calif.; and his former wife and friend, Carin Narramore, of Sun City West, Ariz.
A private celebration of life will be held this summer in Oceanside, Calif.
