Nathan Pratt

February 26, 1981 — April 28, 2026

With courageous faith in his friend, Jesus Christ, Marshall 'Nathan' Pratt was released for his next glorious adventure on April 28, 2026. To some, he was lovingly known as Natedog, Birdman or Nayte. Nathan was a true one-of-a-kind individual. For over 45 years, he spread his positivity, testimony of Jesus Christ, friendship, and infectious laugh, always happy to share his incredible knowledge of birds, old movie stars, but, mostly his amazing mind for remembering every detail of every temple, the House of God.

Born to parents, Marshall and Jill Cardon Pratt, Feb. 26, 1981 in El Paso, Texas; then Silver City, New Mexico, and finally beautiful Show Low (although he didn't appreciate being cold) he fought for life from day one. Despite many ups and downs throughout his life, Nathan happily enjoyed his busy family life, made lots of friends (of all ages), loved Cub Scouts, then Boy Scouts, received both his Eagle Scout and Duty to God awards, and graduated high school.

His greatest desire was to serve a mission, which came in the form of serving in the Ciudad Juarez temple for two years. This mission was one of many miracles his family witnessed. Nathan, and the Pratt family, can testify that the Lord loves each of His children and is in the details of our lives. He later had the opportunity to serve in the Snowflake temple for 15 years.

Nathan loved birds (especially birds of prey), old movie stars (especially Audrey Hepburn and Dick Van Dyke), all things Mexico, and temples throughout the world. Nathan left his mortal life without baggage. He loved everyone without judgment (although he could call one to

repentance), nor did he ever worry about what others thought of him. If he knew you, he loved you! His grandma, Vera Pratt, parents and siblings- Meredith (Richard) Bauman, Adrienne (Taylor) Linton, Kyle (Stephanie), Trevor (Ashlyn), and Jeremiah (Annie) will deeply miss him, along with 17 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, JoAnn and Keith Whatcott, Rodney and Joan Cardon, and Gerald Pratt. He was a pure soul with a golden heart. In the words of his friends, "Nathan made all creatures, great and small, feel like they mattered." Nathan, may you "fly with birds and build temples."
