Mark Leo Quay "Labama"

March 29, 1970 - September 15, 2026

Mark Leo Quay, lovingly known as "Labama," was born on March 29, 1970, in Whiteriver, Arizona, to the late Marie and Slim Quay. He passed away on September 15, 2026, in White River, Arizona.

Mark was a true cowboy who loved the ranch life. He spent many years working with the cattle associations and took great pride in the cowboy way of life. He enjoyed playing horseshoes with his cowboy buddies, playing card games, going to the casino with Molly, camping at the ranch, and taking long drives along the back roads.

He also enjoyed watching softball and football games. But above all, Mark cherished being a father to his daughter, Christina Quay, who was truly his pride and joy. The love he had for Christina was evident to all who knew him.

Mark is survived by his beloved daughter, Christina Quay; his companion, Molly Zahgotah; his sisters, Marjorie Romero, Valerie Burnette, Genevieve Lupe, and Vonda (Marcus) Bonito Sr.; along with many other relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Mark will be remembered for his love of family, his friends, the ranch, and the cowboy life he held so close to his heart. His stories, laughter, friendship, and memories will live on in all those who were blessed to know him.

Though he has ridden on from this life, his cowboy spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

A one night wake will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at the family home 2406 N. Falcon Ave, Knotslanding. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the North Fork Miracle Church in Whiteriver. Interment will follow in the
Chieftain Cemetery.
