With a mixture of sadness and joy, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mae Frances (Word) Press, on this 30th day of November, 2025. Sadness, because we will miss her deeply. Joy, because she is now with our Lord in paradise. We can only imagine the absolute elation she is now experiencing...no pain, no fear, no sadness, all joy, but she knows it. This day does not mark the end of Mae's life; it marks the beginning of her best life ever, her Forever Life with our LORD.
For ninety-eight years, we were allowed the privilege of having this beautiful woman in our lives. Her kindness and love will never be forgotten. Her sweet, gentle spirit touched so many, and her grace and strength inspired many to say, "I want what she's got." Mae's testimony was how she lived her faith through her actions, and more importantly - her reactions, daily. The world won't be a little less bright because she's gone, because she lit so many other "candles" along the way. We will miss her beautiful smile and the sound of her laughter. Thank you, Lord, for the memories.
Farewell, Mom; though you are no longer with us in person, your love remains in our hearts. You taught us well. Your job is finished. Rest peacefully knowing you are cherished and remembered always.
Mae was 98 years old and is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sr., her parents, and four of her nine siblings. She is survived by her four children, Glenn Stephens-Press, Robert Press Jr. (Peggy), Frank Press, Madelyn Stearns (Russell), 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mae will be laid to rest December 20, 2025 in Show Low, AZ. Services will be private. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider a donation to one of Mae's favorite charities, Samaritan's Purse International Relief.
