Leo B Tsosie

Leo B. Tsosie of Holbrook, Arizona passed away on July 20, 2022 in Holbrook. He was 82. Leo was born on September 12, 1939 to his parents the late, Sam B. and Alice (Hayes) Tsosie.

He attended school in Keams Canyon, Arizona, the Phoenix Indian School in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Chilocco, Oklahoma High School. During school he played many sports including basketball, football and even some golf. He also was active in the 4-H. A true outdoorsman, Leo loved to ride horses and rodeo.

He worked for the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Railroad retiring after 33 years. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed ranching and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his siblings, Sam B. Yazzie, Sarah Manygoats, Betty Shaw, Maybelle John, Hazel Attakai and Mary Ann Begay.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harry B. Tsosie and a sister, Mary T. Nez.

A viewing will be held from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~Holbrook Chapel, 409 N. 1^st Ave, Holbrook. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Mortuary with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow in the Holbrook Cemetery.
