Lawrence Valencia

Larry Valencia, age 55, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, surrounded by his sister and nephew in Snowflake, AZ. Born on August 9, 1969, he was the beloved son of Jose and Lydia Valencia.

He was a proud member of the Tohono O'odham Nation and spent his childhood in the town of Eloy. Larry had a natural gift of connecting with people and made a lasting impact. Larry had a heart as big as his smile and laugh could fill any room. A devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a reggae aficionado, and the life of every gathering, Larry brought joy wherever he went.

He had a gift for making people feel seen and valued. He was a beloved son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend who touched countless lives through his humor. Everyone has a Larry story-whether it was a joke, a helping hand, or just a moment of real conversation that stayed with you.

Larry is survived by his sister, Robyn, his brothers, John Michael Sr. and Matt, his nieces, including Gianna Valencia, his nephews, and his great-nephew, whom he adored, as well as many cousins and friends who loved him deeply. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Valencia, and his mother, Lydia Valencia.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Owens Livingston Mortuary in Show Low, Arizona with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 P.M. Friends and family are encouraged to wear black and gold or reggae colors in honor of Larry's spirit. A family and friends gathering will follow.

Larry's light will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He lived boldly, bringing laughter wherever he went. As we remember him, we hold onto his joy, his strength, and his unshakable spirit.
