Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend Kenneth "Ken, Kenny" Wade Reidhead, peacefully and comfortably returned home to Heavenly Father and his loving late wife, Julia Gay (Bonar) Reidhead, on January 23, 2026. He departed from his earthly home, surrounded by family, in Overgaard, Arizona.
Kenneth Wade Reidhead was born October 12, 1959 to Clara Belle (Petersen) Reidhead and the late Lloyd Willis Reidhead in Holbrook, Navajo County, Arizona.
He is survived by his mother, Clara Belle (Petersen) Reidhead; sons, Jacob Levi (Kristina Marie, Rachel Nicole, Matthew Edwin, Emberlee Mei, Madison Hana, Lucian William, Tempest Skye) Eugene, OR, and Jason Aaron (Saebbe, Stryder Entropy, Accalia Siobhan, Emeline Claire, Barrett Wade) Overgaard, AZ; brothers, Delbert Eugene and Monte Clair; and sisters, Linda Raye, Karen Louise, and Marianne.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Julia Gay (Bonar); father, Lloyd Willis; brothers, Lloyd Ames "Billy", Allen Dale, and James Eldon
He married his forever sweetheart Julia Gay (Bonar) on July 20, 1978 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Ken became active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was later sealed in the Snowflake Temple to his wife, Julia, and his family. Kenneth graduated from Snowflake High School in 1977 and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. After 20 years of honorable service he achieved the rank of Master Sergeant (E-7). He was awarded several commendations, medals, ribbons, and recognitions for his dedication to serving his country. He retired in September 1997. Ken was a patriot who loved his country.
Following his career in the U.S. Air Force, he retired home with his wife, Julia, and sons, to the White Mountains in Overgaard, Arizona. In retirement he loved to visit with his grandchildren. He felt that their energy brought him more life, which he outwardly showed. He loved spending time with all of his family and longed to see his loving late sweetheart again. He enjoyed working in the garden and spending time with her building up their home. He was a true friend first and considered everyone a friend. Kenneth wanted the absolute best for anyone he knew and showed them the most love. He cared for and touched the hearts of everyone. Despite health limitations he would make the best of and overcome any situation. He was a "troubleshooter' and a problem solver. His favorite color, if he had to pick just one, was blue, but felt that all colors could be beautiful in the right setting.
We ask that no alcohol or other substances be consumed in honor or to memorialize Ken as he outrightly felt that doing so would not only be disrespectful but also harmful to the mind and soul and would inappropriately tarnish the memory of his life.
The public visitation for Kenneth will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 6, 2026, at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street, in Show Low, Arizona.
A graveside service with Military Honors will begin 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the meadow in the Heber Cemetery in Heber, Arizona.
