Kathy Hamilton

Kathy Sue Hamilton, 76, from Pinetop, AZ passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 after a 10 month battle with cancer. She was at home surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born in Moline Illinois on Christmas Day, 1949 to Lowell and Shirley Frye.

She was a registered nurse and safety and health trainer. She worked at various hospitals in Illinois and Arizona in Air Evac, ER, NICU. She worked at Motorola in Scottsdale then formed her own training consulting company. She also worked in the Banner Health System in Labor and Delivery.

She was an enthusiastic pickleball player, gardener and quilter. Kathy's wonderful smile and demeanor made her loved by nearly everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband and soulmate of 43 years, Hal Hamilton of PInetop; daughter, Molly Lee; granddaughters, Samantha Lee of Queen Valley AZ and Jaimie Marie Waliszewski; and great-grandson John Henry Waliszewski of Norfolk VA; sister, Jill Meyer of Tucson, AZ; and brother, Russ Frye of Charlotte, NC.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026. at 1 p.m. at the White Mountain United Methodist Church in Show Low, AZ. In lieu of flowers the family asks for charitable donations, in Kathy's name, to either Feeding America, Doctors without Borders, or Phoenix, Shriners, or St. Judes Children's Hospital, or your local Hospice organization.
