Joseph E. "Joe Mettie, Age 67 of Cottage Grove, Tennessee passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026 at his residence. Joe never met a stranger and was always willing to share his light-hearted comedy and jokes. Growing up, he loved riding horses and roping, reading western magazines and comic books. In his spare time, he enjoyed doing art and making greeting cards for his family. His passion was construction projects and his work. But above all, Joe loved his family.

A Graveside Service will be held on October 10, 2026 in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona at the Lakeside Cemetery. Services will start at 10:00 A.M.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother Mildred Faye Stinnett Mettie. Joe was born in Yuma, Arizona to Joe and The Late Mildred Mettie.
Joe is survived by his father Joe Mettie and stepmother Linda Mettie of Lakeside, Arizona, brother Mike Mettie of Lakeside, Arizona, sister Jolene Jordan (Brent) of Graham, Texas, daughters Melissa Mettie of Lindale, Texas, Madison Mettie of Paris, Texas and stepdaughter Jessey Scherrill of Lindale, Texas, stepsons Adrian yourules and Nicholas Yourgules, six grandchildren, nieces Sheena Parrilla (Nathan), Cierra Mast, nephews Josh Bates (Lindsey), Ryan Jordan (Ashley) and Cody Mettie, numerous great nieces and nephews.
