Jessica Wheeler

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce that Jessica Marie Wheeler, 39, passed away in Heber-Overgaard, Arizona, on April 10, 2026, following a lifelong battle with mental illness.

Jessica was many things to many people, but above all, she was a force of nature. The firstborn of three children to Shawn Marie Porter, she was a sister who now joins one brother in peace while leaving her "right hand"-her sister-behind to carry on their shared stories. Jessica was a biological mother of five, a devoted mom to two young children. She joins her beloved grandmother in rest, while leaving behind a grandfather who will miss her dearly.

Jessica was quick-witted and savvy; when life hurled obstacles her way, she met them with a cunning mind and a deviously charming spirit. She possessed a light that shined so bright it drew people in even when she wished to remain unseen. Generous of heart and adventurous in spirit, she could command any room she walked into. She was exactly the person you wanted by your side when life erupted into chaos.

Her creativity often flourished in the kitchen. Having lived in Mexico, Jessica developed a deep love for the culture and flavors, and her family will forever cherish the Mexican dishes she prepared with such care.

We hope that Jessica has finally found the sense of belonging, acceptance, and peace that she spent her life searching for. May your seat at the coffee cafe be comfy, the coffee stay hot, and the company be irreplaceable.

Jessica's loving family includes:

Children: Jasmine Rebecca Ramirez and Jasper Mateo Vaillancourt.

Parents: Her mother, Shawn Marie Porter.

Siblings: Brittney Christine Ambrey Boswell; and her late brother, Austin Mark Boswell.

Extended Family: Her Godmother, Kimberly Anne Rekte; Papa, Joshua K.Yeates; Grandfather, Michael Wilber Porter; and Aunt, Christine Nickole (Steven) Snider.

Preceded in death by: Brother, Austin Mark Boswell. Grandmother Audrey Dee Porter, and Great-grandparents Mable Christine and Henry Edwin Ennis, Jr.

Jessica also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and those she chose as family throughout her journey.

Jessica Marie, you will be forever missed and held eternally in our hearts.
