Jerry Lee Strickland
December 5, 1948 - May 7, 2025
Jerry Lee Strickland, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and proud American, passed away peacefully at his home on May 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 76 years old.
Born on December 5, 1948, in McNary, Arizona, Jerry was the eldest of five boys born to Dewey Lee Strickland and Babe Ruth Stout. He grew up in Maverick, Arizona and carried lots of memories of his upbringing with him. From a young age, Jerry exhibited a deep sense of responsibility, strength, and a fierce love for his family-qualities that would define his life.
A proud veteran, Jerry honorably served his country in the Vietnam War. His patriotism was unwavering, and he deeply valued his freedom, his firearms, and the rights he fought to protect.
Jerry worked in the copper mining industry, beginning his career in Globe, Arizona. His dedication and work ethic took him to Nevada and eventually to Utah, where he continued to provide for his family with pride and purpose.
He was a devoted family man who cherished his wife of 55 years, Robyn Strickland. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Jerry was the proud father of two children, Gary (Jodi) Strickland and Laura (Clint) White, and a deeply loved grandfather to Tyler, Michelle, Kylee (Jesse), Bub (Timonie), Tori, Kaitlynn (Liv), Ashlyn, Cody, Dylan (Danielle), and Kyndel. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Taytum, Avery, Colt, and a new baby expected in October.
Jerry had a deep and enduring faith, and his Lutheran beliefs were a guiding force in his life. He was known for his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and love of motorcycles, which brought him freedom and joy on the open road.
He leaves behind a legacy of strength, loyalty, and unconditional love. He will be remembered for the way he lived: with purpose, integrity, and a heart full of devotion to those he loved.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
