Jasper Kessay, Sr.

Jasper Kessay, Sr. entered eternal rest November 20, 2021 in Springerville, AZ. He was born August 9, 1948 in McNary, AZ.

He is survived by his wife, Arlinda Kessay;daughter, Joyce Kessay; and sons, Jasper Kessay Jr. and Frederick Kessay. He also raised his grandchildren, Dewayne Kessay, Ezekiel Shaw, Dante Shaw, Julie Shaw, Teneya Kessay, Elliott Kessay, and Emmalita Kessay.

Jasper was also known as "Dopey" to his family and close friends. He was a God-fearing man who had compassion for all. He and his wife, Arlinda, took in many people and helped them get back on their feet. Jasper was very athletic in his younger years. He was on the All American basketball team and led his team to a State Champion title. He received similar rewards in football, cross country, and track and field. He was also a champion bull rider.

Dopey will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

A Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Ponderosa Pines Cemetery in McNary, Arizona, followed by a Graveside Service.
