Irma Isabell Reidhead Pogue, born March 30, 1961, passed away on April 3, 2026, at the age of 65, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Irma was a woman who truly loved life. Known for her generous heart and warm spirit, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Whether family, friend, or stranger, Irma made people feel seen, valued, and cared for.
She dedicated many years working in retail, including Circle K and most recently Dollar General. She was very fond of her Native American customers and took pride in serving her community. Irma often went above and beyond-quietly helping those in need, even covering the cost for customers who came up short. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she ensured her Holbrook community had access to essential items.
Irma found her greatest joy in her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Ray; her children, Kris Pogue and Luke Pogue; her mother, Alfa Sanchez; and her siblings Josie Hernandez, Archie Reidhead, Antonio Reidhead, and Graciela Dionne Reidhead. Her grandchildren; Caitlyn and Ryan Pogue, Anthony and Daniel Tarlip.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Arch Reidhead.
Irma cherished time spent with loved ones and created many beautiful memories, including traveling to Laughlin to play bingo. In her younger years, Irma was a talented athlete at Snowflake High School, where she set a school record in the 850 meters. She also played softball and achieved a rare triple play during a tournament.
Irma will be remembered for her compassion, strength, and the love she gave so freely.
