Horton Hill

Horton Darren Hill, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on April 19, 2025, in McNary, Arizona, the place where his life began on September 29, 1965.

A lifelong resident of McNary, Horton grew up surrounded by family, friends, and the natural beauty of his hometown. He attended school in McNary and later continued his education at Blue Ridge Schools, where his sharp mind and dedication earned him a spot on the honor roll. Horton had a deep love for learning, and it was not uncommon to find him reading encyclopedias from cover to cover, always eager to expand his knowledge.

Horton was also a gifted artist, known for his intricate and beautiful bead work, which reflected both his creativity and his patience. Beyond his talents, Horton was known for his generous heart and nurturing spirit. He played a meaningful role in helping raise numerous children over the years, offering them steady guidance, support, and unconditional love.

He leaves behind a family who cherished him deeply: his sisters, Marianna Hill Penningjack of McNary and Suzanna Hill of McNary; his brother, Donovan Hill of McNary; five nieces and twelve nephews; three uncles and eight aunts; and many extended family members and friends who will forever hold his memory close.

Horton's life was one of quiet strength, kindness, and deep devotion to family. He will be remembered not only for his wisdom and talents but for the love he gave so freely to those around him.
