Gordon L. Rhodes, affectionately known as "The Man, The Myth, The Legend," passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the age of 77.

Gordon was a one-of-a-kind man whose larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was known for the mischievous sparkle in his eyes, his fascinating stories, and the countless adventures he loved to share. Whether he was making someone laugh, telling tales from his remarkable life, or lending a helping hand, Gordon lived with determination, grit, and a sense of humor that never faded.

Despite living with cerebral palsy and a hearing deficit, Gordon faced every challenge with incredible perseverance, strength, and resilience. He was deeply admired for his unwavering work ethic, the sacrifices he made for those he loved, and his ability to overcome obstacles with courage and grace. His life was a testament to hard work, determination, and never giving up.

Gordon was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darlene Rhodes, whom he loved dearly.

He leaves behind his faithful companion, his beloved dog, JoJo; his devoted daughter, Ruthie Rhodes; his brother, Don Rhodes; his cherished nieces and nephews; his five grandchildren, Justin Sr., Zach, Brianna, Katie, and Zeke; and his four great-grandchildren, Justin Jr., Avery, Elliot, and Violet Mae. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

Gordon's legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared. His laughter, wisdom, adventurous spirit, and unforgettable presence will never be forgotten.

We will forever miss the sparkle in your eyes, your captivating stories, and the adventures that made you uniquely you.
