Genevieve Reed

Genevieve Reed, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, in Lakeside, Arizona. She was 71 years old.

Born on October 8, 1953, in Sacaton, Arizona, Genevieve was the daughter of Gilberto Garcia and Carolyn Way. Her life was marked by joy, creativity, and a deep devotion to her family and heritage.

Genevieve had a vibrant spirit-she loved to cook, listen to music, and dance. Her laughter and playful sense of humor brought light to every gathering. She was a talented artist who enjoyed beadwork, sewing, and creating beautiful Native American artwork and pottery.

More than anything, Genevieve treasured time with her family. Whether at cookouts or family outings, she found her greatest happiness surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving children, Samantha Thomas, Majel Declay, Steven Reed, and Tracey Reed; her godson, Brandon Fall; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Carol Clendon.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Stephen Reed; her parents; her brothers, Leonardo J. Way and Marco A. Garcia; and two grandsons, Kyle Burnette and Gilbert Garcia.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.

Genevieve's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
