Floyd Robert Friess, affectionately known as "Uncle Spud," passed away on June 30, 2024. Born on December 24, 1936, Floyd graduated from Arizona State University and dedicated his career to education and healthcare. He served as a schoolteacher in Fontana, California, and later as a Respiratory Therapist in Big Bear, California.
Floyd had a passion for the outdoors and cherished deep-sea fishing, hiking, and skiing. He found joy in travel, exploring nature, and embracing different cultures. Floyd was also an avid music lover and talented cook, particularly enjoying Asian cuisine.
Above all, Floyd will be remembered for his kind heart and dedication to helping others. His legacy of compassion and generosity will continue to inspire those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving nieces, nephews, and friends, who will forever cherish his memory.
