Edwin Frazier "Pete" Dixon
September 26, 1951 - May 3, 2025
Edwin Frazier "Pete" Dixon passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, in Show Low, Arizona, at the age of 73. Born on September 26, 1951, in Yuma, Arizona, Pete was a man of curiosity, intelligence, humor, and heart-loved by many and remembered fondly.
Pete earned a Master's degree in Economics from Arizona State University, a field he remained passionate about throughout his life. He enjoyed a long and successful career in the printing industry, where his attention to detail and problem-solving nature were assets he shared generously with others.
A true "idea man," Pete's interests were as wide as they were deep. He was a student of history, science, economics, current events, and the paranormal-never afraid to explore unconventional ideas. He was particularly fascinated by practical, organic chemistry, and could often be found experimenting with new methods in his garden or sharing thoughts on emerging theories. Pete approached life with an open mind and an eagerness to learn, always willing to adjust his perspective when presented with new evidence.
He had a sharp and often sardonic sense of humor that brought laughter and perspective to those around him. Despite his intellect, Pete remained humble and grounded, placing high value on friendship, family, and honesty.
Pete was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Mothershed; his mother, Evelyn Dixon; and his brother, Paul Dixon. He is survived by three stepchildren, many lifelong friends, and a community that cherished his wit, wisdom, and warmth.
Pete Dixon lived a thoughtful, inquisitive, and principled life. His memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
