Dorothy Jiron

Dorothy Olcott Jiron was born on October 10, 1936 to Alger John & Pauline Dee (Baker) Olcott in Atlas, Michigan. She passed away peacefully at her home on August 7, 2025 in Show Low, Arizona.

Dorothy lived most of her life in Michigan. She moved to Arizona in 1970, living in Show Low for the past 28 years. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, knew of her passion for playing games and putting puzzles togerther and talking about the Lord. She was a great seamstress and did alterations for many years. Dorothy loved Christian music and Worshipping.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Jake Jiron. She is survived by her sister, Sue (Bob) Strayer; 5 children, Glenda (Mark) Lalonde, Dee Doyle, Carol (Ron) Carpenter, Doug (Trish) Hungerford and John Hungerford; she is known as Grandma Great by her 9 grandchildren, Laura, Rachel, Alicia, Billy, Leah, Craig, Shannan, Michael and Eric; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 6 nephews, 6 nieces and numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the Living Word Fellowship Church, 1050 W. Woodland Lake Road, Lakeside, AZ 85929.

There will be no reception following the service.
