Donald Lloyd Dutton

March 23, 1954 — May 23, 2021

Donald Lloyd Dutton of Show Low, Arizona peacefully passed away following a long illness on May 23, 2021 at his home in Show Low. He was 67. Donald was born on March 23, 1954 in Bishop, California to his parents, Alvin Newton and Mildred Amelia (Caballero) Dutton.

He grew up on a ranch in Dudleyville, Arizona and attended Ray High School in Kearny, Arizona. He was among the graduating class of 1973. Following graduation Donald spent most of his time in the Copper Basin area of Arizona working in the mines. In 1986-1987 he contracted Guillian Barre Syndrome, an autoimmune disease that attacks the nerves, which caused him severe pain.

Donald was always looking for ways to help with his pain and he became an avid follower of the herbal and holistic process. He was deep into natural healing and became very in tune with natural medicine. In 1994 Donald moved from Tucson, Arizona to the beautiful White Mountains where he called home until his passing.

Donald was an avid angler and could play a mean game of horseshoes. Our family finds peace in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is free from his pain, reunited with family members who have gone before.

He is survived by his daughter, Jaime (Brian) Parker of Tucson; grandchildren, Jared  (27), Jon (Ashley)  (25), Jacob (24), Cheyenne (23), Savannah (21), Dylan (15) and Damon (10); great-grandchildren, Carter (2) and Owen (on the way); siblings, Gloria Magallanec, Robert (Brenda) Baca, Marie (Ralph) Lucas and Dianne (Charles) Caviglia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mildred; son, Jeremy Dutton and siblings, Alvin Jr., Beverly Perria and Diane Kellipio.

Private family services will be held.
