Cody E.W.D. Childress

Cody E.W.D. Childress passed away after a short illness on May 31, 2021 at home in Linden, Arizona. He was born March 28, 1985 to Larry E. Childress and Debra K. Layman in Phoenix, Arizona. 

He grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada and moved to Show Low, Arizona after graduating from Deer Valley High School (Class of 2003) and attending Paradise Valley Community College.

Cody is survived by his father, Larry Childress; three children: Landon, Talon and Abigail; and his sister, Danielle Childress. He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra K. Layman and step-father, Dave Lalumondiere. 

Cody had many work talents and never settled in on any one permanently. His talents included: welder, carpenter, equipment operator, sales, and poker player. He liked vehicles, women, hunting, deep sea fishing, Garth Brooks and Western Fusion Band.

Cody died too young but, as his grave marker says, "I Lived Life My Way", which is what he lived by.  

Cody's memorial service will begin 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 25, 2025, at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Road in Phoenix, Arizona.
