Clifford DeHose, Sr., 75, of Cibecue, Arizona, passed away on November 11, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on February 4, 1950, in Cibecue to the late Francis and Sarah (Hinton) DeHose.
Clifford lived a life rooted in hard work, tradition, and the land he loved. He enjoyed wood cutting, attending and participating in rodeos, being a cowboy, logging, and working with his hands. For many years, he was a proud millwright with the FATCO Cibecue Sawmill, where his dedication and strong work ethic led him to serve as both supervisor and foreman until the mill closed. Clifford's commitment to his community and his craft left a lasting impact on all who worked alongside him.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; his children Philip and Erna DeHose, Matt DeHose, Kenneth and Miranda DeHose, William DeHose, Brando Caddo, Nolan and Francine Beatty, Jeanette and Shorty Albert, and Pearl and CMike Tessay. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, his sister Belinda and Edwin Machuse, and many extended family members and friends who will carry his memory with them.
Clifford was preceded in death by his children Bernadette Beatty, Monical DeHose, Doreen DeHose, and Harriette DeHose, as well as his siblings Lynette DeHose and Virgil DeHose.
A one-night wake will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the family home located at 113 E. Center Street, Cibecue. A home service will follow at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2025, with interment to take place afterward at the Open Range Cemetery.
Clifford will be remembered for his strength, his kindness, and his deep love for his family and community. His presence will be deeply missed.
