Charles McLaws

Charles Lee McLaws (Bud) was born March 9, 1940, in Winslow, Arizona to Wallace and Mildred McLaws. He died at home in Holbrook on December 3rd, 2023, at the age of 83.

He graduated from Holbrook High School in 1958 and enlisted in the Marine Corps. He served until March of 1962. He married his firecracker, Karen Gardner, on August 13, 1962. He served in many callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed gardening, driving trucks, and popcorn. Bud and Karen co-owned Holbrook Feed & Seed for 47 years. He drove a semi for most of those years, he loved bringing Utah fruit for Holbrook and the surrounding communities.

Bud is survived by his wife of 61 years, Karen; his children, Kevin, Gene, Ray (LynDee), LouAnn, Randy (Hazel), Lynette (Tad), Troy (Haley), Gary (Michelle); 28 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Robert (Bob).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Mildred; brother, Jack; and sister, Joline Holt.

Funeral services for Bud will be held at the Woodruff LDS Church Saturday, December 9th at 11:00 AM.
