Celia Parkinson passed away April 8, 2024. She was born January 1, 1931, in Phoenix Arizona to Fern Penrod and Phaon Lewis Mettie.
Celia enjoyed traveling, crocheting, quilting, visiting friends and being with family. She loved yard sales! Also a favorite was ice cream cones with grandkids at the old Blue Ridge Drive-in.
Survived by her children: Deborah Webb, Cheryl (Barry) Harville, Frank (Myra) Parkinson, all of Lakeside; siblings, Janet Smeltser of Phoenix, Joe (Linda) Mettie, Louis Mettie of Lakeside; 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Parkinson, in 2009; Sons, Louis Bert Parkinson and wife, Judy, and Richard C. Parkinson; sons-in-law, John Behn and Darwin Webb; sisters, Marie, Jerri, and Waldene; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Owens Livingston Mortuary, 320 N. 9th St., in Showlow, Arizona. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Lakeside Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1520 Church Lane, with a viewing one-hour prior.
Burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
