1948 Caryl 2025

Caryl Rzonca

May 8, 1948 — July 23, 2025

Caryl Elizabeth Rzonca (Antosh), "Camie", passed away on July 23, 2025, at age 77, after a short illness and a life filled with family, friends, and immeasurable love and laughter.

Camie is survived, and deeply loved and missed by her husband of 57 years, Joseph "Poppy", their three daughters, Joeli Secrest, Amy (Daniel) Mahoney and Meagan Higgins, and her seven grandchildren, Micah, Mason, MacCarthy, Owen, Blake, Erin and Corie. She is also survived by five of her seven siblings, and the many friends she made everywhere she went. (We're not kidding - EVERYWHERE!)

Camie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and moved to Tucson, Arizona, when she was eight years old. She met Joseph at age 19, and they built their family. She worked outside of the home off and on, but made a point to retire when her first grandchild was born. Micah arrived on the first day of her retirement, and her purpose became clear. In retirement, Camie and Poppy lovingly built their home, the "Treehouse", in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona, which quickly became a gathering place for family and friends, a showcase of her many collections, and a place where you could always find unconditional love, joyful laughter, and more yummy food than you could ever imagine. Camie provided nourishment to the soul and body like no other.

While Camie was an amazing mother and friend to everyone she met, her most cherished and important role, and the role where she shined above all others, was that of Camie to her grandchildren. Camie arranged hers and Poppy's lives around their grandchildren and gave them all constant and unwavering love, wisdom, time and laughter. Camie has left a legacy of love that will echo through many generations and will never be forgotten.

Services are being arranged by Camie's family. In lieu of flowers, please simply sprinkle some of your love and laughter around like Camie did.
