In Loving Memory of

Carolyn Louise Carter Nash
April 10, 1962 - September 26, 2026

Carolyn Louise Carter Nash, 64, passed away on September 26, 2026. leaving behind a lifetime of love, faith, adventure and countless loves forever changed by knowing her.

Carolyn never met a stranger. Whether she greeted you with "Hey, beautiful!" or "Hey, handsome!" she had a way of making everyone feel seen, welcomed, and loved. Her heart knew no boundaries, and her love came without conditions.

Throughout her life, Carolyn helped raise hundred of children, many of whom were not her own by blood but were hers in every way that mattered. Her years with the Deer Valley School District were another reflection of her love for children and her dedication to helping them grow. Race, background, identity, or religious beliefs never determined whether someone deserved her love. She welcomed children from all walks of life, offering guidance, kindness, and a place to belong.

A woman of deep faith, Carolyn loved the Lord and believed in sharing his love with others. Her involvement with Mission Valley Church and Reap What You Sew reflected her desire to serve her community, help those in need and bring people closer to God.

Carolyn also had an adventurous spirit and a lifelong love for the open road. For many years, she worked as a semi-truck driver, traveling across the United States. Known over the CB radio as "Strawberry Kitten," she carried that love of travel beyond her career, frequently taking road trips to visit friends and family. Her adventurous spirit became a legacy of its own inspiring a love of travel in the generations following her.

She loved cats, children, crafting and finding ways to make life a little brighter for those around her. Whether through her faith, her generosity, or simply reminding someone they were beautiful, Carolyn made people feel that they mattered.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Charles Nash, her only daughter Shelbi, her grandchildren, Seth and Laci; her brother John her sister Valerie; and the countless children and loved ones she welcomed into her heart as family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlando Glenn Carter and Peggy Stapleton, and her brother Rick Carter.

Carolyn's greatest legacy is not measured by the miles she traveled, but by the loves she touched along the way.

Though her journey on earth has ended, the love she gave so freely will continue traveling through the hearts of everyone who knew her.

At the family's request, no formal funeral or celebration of life is planned. Those who knew and loved Carolyn are encouraged to honor her memory in their own meaningful ways, whether through prayer, planting a flower, sharing a memory, or extending kindness to someone in need.
Her family asks for privacy and understanding as they grieve and begin to heal.
