1937 Carol 2025

Carol Stewart

December 27, 1937 — September 11, 2025

Carol Ann "Larson" Stewart was born on 12/27/1937 in Globe, Arizona and passed away on 9/11/2025 in Chandler, Arizona. She died peacefully with a smile on her face because she was finally going home to be with Jesus. She leaves behind her loving husband of almost 70 years, John Stewart, three daughters, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Carol loved the outdoors and taking care of her beautiful garden. She always found beauty in the clouds and loved taking the grandchildren and great-grandchildren out on their property to watch the clouds, laughing as they pointed out shapes, animals and scenes in the sky. On the day she passed, the family was on the back porch where the beautiful "Carol" clouds began to gather and suddenly a rare summer shower began, dropping large raindrops like tears of joy from Heaven, assuring us she was finally at peace and at home.

Mom was also an avid award-winning quilter. She shared her talents and made many comfort quilts for those in need including veterans, the Ronald McDonald House and Ryan House to name a few. She lovingly made a treasured quilt for each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren so that they feel her love wrapped around them each time they are used. Another of her passions was caring for children. She volunteered countless hours over the years working in the nursery and at VBS for both her church in Mesa and in Overgaard.

She touched many lives while she was here on earth. Even in her battle with Alzheimer's, she shared Christ's love and made a difference in the lives of the caregivers and fellow residents at her memory care residence with Hugs and "I Love You's." We will miss her terribly but are at peace knowing she is no longer suffering but basking in the glory of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Until we see her again, we will continue to look to the clouds for little reminders of her and her love.
