Carol Jean Docter

February 20, 1945 — March 14, 2021

We regretfully announce the passing of Carol Jean Docter of Show Low, AZ on March 14, 2021.  Carol was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.

Our mother, Carol, was one of the strongest, most courageous and kindest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. Carol graduated from Oakdale High School in1964.  After graduating, she went on to pursue a career as a hairdresser.  Later in her life she worked in healthcare and other various administrative and secretarial positions.  She finally retired from Riverbank School District as an Instructional Aide.

In 1967 she met Arthur Docter and together they went on to have two children, Laura Docter-Bennett of Bakersfield, CA and Dean Docter of Show Low, AZ. Carol was a wonderful and loving wife and mother who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Carol was predeceased by her mother, Oleta Consoli and several beloved Aunts and Uncles.   She is survived by her husband, Arthur Docter of Show Low, Arizona, her daughter Laura Docter-Bennett and husband Michael, her son Dean Docter and wife Dorothy, sister Roberta Gonzales of Hughson, CA, sister Arleta Jenkins of Burns, TN, brother Robert Filbert of Caddo, OK, granddaughter Emily Docter of Marysville, WA and grandchildren Blake Bennett, Symantha Bennett and Morgan Bennett of Bakersfield, CA, Julian Bennett (great grandson) along with several nieces and nephews whom she loved and was so proud.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Carol’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, as this organization was important to her.   A graveside service will be held on March 27, 2021 at Atlanta Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, 13737 E. Lone Tree Road, Manteca, CA.
