Carlyle Paul Truax, born on September 2, 1981, in Whiteriver, AZ. As a proud member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe, Carlyle served as a Forestry Firefighter with the BIA Forestry, showcasing his unwavering commitment to protecting the lands he cherished and where he loved to fish.
He is survived by his mother, Karen Gatewood, and his father, Adam (Sherry) Truax, and his four children; Kagen Truax, Trujuan Truax, Amorah Truax, Alex Truax.
His life was celebrated with a one night wake on September 16, 2024. His memory and legacy was honored with a heartfelt funeral service at his home on September 17, 2024, at 10:00 am, where friends and family gathered to celebrate his life, sharing stories of his kindness and dedication.
He was laid to rest at the Sunny Side Cemetery in Cibecue, Arizona on September 17, 2024, surrounded by the beauty of the lands he worked so diligently to protect. His memory will live on through the lives he touched and the legacy he leaves behind.
