Calvin McNeil

Calvin Layne McNeil passed away on March 2, 2026, in Show Low, Arizona. 

Calvin was born on October 22, 1969, in Show Low, Arizona to Rex (Duke) McNeil and Sharon McNeil. He was the fifth of six children and the last boy.

Calvin was raised in Show Low and loved his hometown. He graduated from Show Low High School in 1988. He was active in sports and excelled at wrestling, baseball, football and basketball. 

He went on to San Diego State University and received his master's degree and went to work for the Government. 

Throughout his life, he had traveled and lived in many other states, but when time to retire, he and his wife came back home.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Jeffery Preston and Katherine Cardoza; Father Duke (Bettse) McNeil; brothers, Shayne (Chris) McNeil, and Bo McNeil; sister, Stacy (Shawn) Spitzer. As well as his nephews, nieces and 6 grandchildren and his sister-in-law, Robyn. All of whom he teased and loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon, and brothers, Kevin and Rusty.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the Downtown LDS chapel in Show Low, Arizona, at 10:00 a.m. with viewing at 9:00 a.m.
