Brenda Kay Stein, age 81, of Burton, AZ, passed away in Vernon, AZ on April 21, 2024.

Brenda Stein was born in Berkeley, CA, to George and Nancy Alice Sipus on September 16, 1942. She graduated from Snowflake Union High School and began working as a secretary for a law firm in Holbrook. She later moved to California and provided administrative services to the Narcotics Division of the Inglewood Police Department. She later transitioned to serve as the assistant to the Chief of Police in Inglewood, California, for ten years.

Brenda is preceded in death by her father, George Sipus of Show Low, mother, Nancy Alice Malone of Burton, and husband Chuck Stein of Burton.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Rauni Tedrick of Burton; brother, Ron Sipus of Mission Viejo, CA; Sister-in-law, Carol Lynn Sipus of Mission Viejo, CA; Nieces, Kim Dexter of Newport Beach, CA; and Heather Bunce of Allendale, MI.

The family, deeply touched by the outpouring of support during this difficult time, wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Angel Wings Assisted Living Facility, Accord Hospice, Owens Livingston Mortuary, Burton Baptist Church, and especially to Phyliss Carlisle and Jerri Lindsey for their unwavering support and care.

We cordially invite you to a graveside service, a poignant tribute to Brenda's life, at Burton Baptist Cemetery on May 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. Reverend Tye Rausch will lead the service, which will honor Brenda's memory and celebrate the impact she had on our lives.
