Bonnie Lorraine Fish

July 14, 1942 — May 23, 2022

With her family at her bedside, Bonnie Lorraine Fish passed away Monday afternoon, May 23, 2022, at her home in Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona from natural causes. She was 79 years old. Bonnie was born on Tuesday, July 14, 1942, in McNary, Apache County, Arizona to her parents, the late Forrest and Rose (Hansen) Penrod.

Bonnie attended school in Lakeside and graduated from Lakeside High School in 1960. Bonnie met the love of her life, Barry Fish, and was married to him for 62 years. Together, they raised a family in beautiful Lakeside that had been her home for nearly 79 years.

Bonnie was blessed with many talents. She became a 3-D competitive archer. She traveled throughout Arizona and competed. She placed in several meets and has the trophies to prove it. She loved to sew and throughout her life, sewed clothes for herself and all of her children. She had a talent of embroidering quilts on her sewing machine. Bonnie also loved to crochet. She would crochet little dresses and purses for her great-grandchildren. Everyone in her family has received something that she has made with her talented hands. She was also an avid reader. She loved to read novels that she would check out from the Lakeside Public Library.

Bonnie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Relief Society presidency, the Young Women's and the Primary. She especially loved teaching the 3 year old class (Sunbeams) in the primary. She was a true example of service. She especially loved her service to her sweet husband through the years. Her great faith in Jesus Christ was an example to all her family. The thing that brought her the most joy was her family. She showed the greatest love to her three children. She taught them the values that were important to her and always put their needs above her own. There was never a day that would go by that she wouldn't reach out to each of her children just to make sure that they were happy and OK. She loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and they loved her so much in return. She will be greatly missed.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Barry Fish; her three children: Rebecca (Chris) Skousen, Grant Fish, Brian Fish; her brother, Ray Penrod; her sister, Deborah Sherlock; three grandchildren: Michael (Charlotte) Skousen, James (Julianne) Skousen, Paul (Heather) Skousen; seven great-grandchildren: Christian, Bronson, Easton, Lexi, Kaylee, Leah and Kelsea.

The funeral service will begin 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 3, 2022, at the Pinetop/Lakeside Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lakeside, Arizona where the visitation will begin one hour prior. The concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the Lakeside Cemetery.
