Betty Beatrice Nez

Betty Beatrice Nez (80), of Snowflake, AZ passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on September 28, 2023.

Betty married the love of her life, Danny Nez, in 1961 in Santa Clara, California. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Early in their marriage they moved to Snowflake, where they would go on to raise their family and create a life for themselves. Betty graduated from the University of New Mexico and spent her career working as a counselor at the Snowflake and Holbrook dormitory. Through her career she made a positive impact on many young people's lives, and then in retirement carried on that work throughout the community. Betty loved spending time with her family and the fellowship she found through the LDS church.

Betty is survived by her husband, Danny Nez; children, Caroline (Wayne) Reidhead, Troy Nez, Renee (Wayne) Ellis, and Danielle Nez; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by son, Davis Nez. 

 A memorial service will be held for Betty on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Centennial Blvd Chapel, 880 North Centennial Boulevard, Taylor, Arizona.
