Betty L Mason

In memory of Betty L. Mason, who passed away on December 29, 2021 at the age of 89, in her home in Show Low, Arizona.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Charles G. Mason; her nephew, Michael Pierce of Boise, Idaho, and her step-children: Charles' son and two daughters, Ken Mason, Julie Grant and Karen Mason; also, a stepdaughter from a previous marriage, Beverly Jamison.

Betty taught school for 23 years, mostly at Lowell High, an academic high school in San Francisco, California. She taught English and French and helped numerous students, whom she loved dearly, as they loved her, to continue on with higher education and becoming professionals and business leaders. She was very proud of this accomplishment.

Betty was a classy lady, with regular visits to her favorite hairdresser. She enjoyed dressing well and wearing her jewelry.

She played the piano, was an avid reader and was well traveled, with many trips to France and other countries. She and Charles built a home and moved from San Francisco to Sand Point, Idaho in 1980 and lived there until 1997, when they relocated to Arizona.

She has always had many friends and admirers wherever she has been.

She lived a very full, productive and enjoyable life, until 2021 when she became ill. She passed away peacefully in her sleep, with very little pain and suffering. She will be missed very much by all.

There will be no services at this time, but a Celebration of Life for her will be held in the summer, when family and friends can attend.
