Amy Lavone Kay passed away on October 29, 2025 in Lakeside. She was born on July 2, 1965 in Tucson, Arizona to Richard Lee Waggoner and Suzanne DuBois.

Amy was married and sealed to the love of her life, Joseph Walker Kay, Jr., on March 15, 1985 in the Mesa Arizona temple. They were married for 40 years and had three beautiful children: Melissa Rose Kay, Dutch Joseph Kay and Micheal Paul Kay. She loved being a mother not only to her children but to the friends of her children. She also loved being a grandma to her two grandsons, Chatlee and Parker.

Amy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings in the church. She served in the primary, scouting and family history. Amy loved her family history calling and served in that calling for many years. She also served a service mission for the church for the last several years. Amy and her husband, Joe, spent several years serving as missionaries at Fort Apache. Amy loved the people she served there. She also spent the last several years serving as a FamilySearch missionary and was one of their mission leads.

Amy also spent time serving on the fire boards for both the Lakeside Fire Department and Timber Mesa Fire and Medical. She loved working with the fire departments.

Amy is preceded in death by her father, Dick Waggoner and mother, Suzanne Pirtle.

Amy is survived by her husband, Joe Kay; daughter, Missy Kay; sons, Dutch (Emily) Kay and Micheal (Ashlee) Kay; grandsons, Chatlee Kay and Parker Kay; sisters, Anna Gallardo and Betsy Morris; and brother, Adam Waggoner.

Services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Lakeside Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1520 Church Lane in Lakeside.
